Summer holidays for you and me

Ok, it’s been a long gap since the last post. Limited access to the internet and a fair bit of travel meant no time to let the tumble of thoughts stream on to the blog. It’s been an interesting week, I feel like a child during summer holidays. The dry heat and brutal sun, refreshing buttermilk, cold showers and lazy days make me wish adults had summer hols too.

My little one is happily bored and up to no good. While it drives me insane to see her ransack the house in her search for interesting things to create artwork, I think boredom is good for kids. The most creative and best ideas spring from periods of intense ennui when there is all the time and no pressure to get anywhere.
